Grand Opening of Shaw Lido

I'm so lucky that my manager, Mr Che cant make it to the Gala Premiere of Pirates, therefore i've got the chance to watch Pirates! So excited that i thought i would be in the first IMAX theatre in SG! Haha...

The invite was such a wow! As the envelope was totally chrome shiny looking like a mirror! As well as the tickets! Silver one leh...

Reached quite late and the opening ceremony was over.. look at the left overs on the stage...

Handphones and any other recording devices were strictly prohibited..we had to deposit our handphones at their counter before entering the theatre...

Took a pic with my fave, Johnny Depp..... poster la! Haha... OMG he is just so cool...

Sally was very honored to be invited by me to watch the movie together! Hahahaha...

I mentioned "i thought i would be in imax theatre" earlier on right... Yes right... we were not in the imax!!!!! Shitz... imax screen is like full length to and curve, the 3D must be superb! Hmmm.. we only get to watch the normal 3D lo.. Whats more is there's a free preview of 20 mins imax every weekday afternoon, well, we work there and its so convenient but we didnt go, by then the promotion is over!!! Salt on wound... :( Seems that need to spend that $22 bucks for imax in the future le!

Coffee Stars by Dao - Again... も一度

Dinner with Meiping & Sally at Coffee Stars, haha which is highly recommended by me.. Emo Meiping misses us so much so decided to ask her out to ease her emo-ness...

Very special with bittergourd.. nice!

The Tom Yum Soup was good! Taste a little to the sour side with a very nice floral fragrance... Maybe is the herbs which gives the aroma..

Beancurd with crabmeat & minced meat.. I find it so-so only but Meiping like it...

Minced Meat with Basil Leaves.. Nice! Spicy enough!

Shaw Lido just re-opens after renovation.. we went for a movie, watched Arthur, a nice comedy... As i had got free tickets so definately worth it! Haha.. Lido is now so clean, spacious and the seats is no more rocking and moldy like before.. Finally a decent look after so many years...... Haha.. but kinda missed the olden days we used to eat at the Mcdonalds, KFC, Subway..etc there.. and of cos all the old-school movie posters.. :)

Feast @ Sin Hoi San

1st time to the famous Sin Hoi San at Tiong Bahru.... Argh.. no air con?! Its freaking hot this dayz, air con and cold drinks is a must man! Mao said this is v famous among the artistes overseas... And guess what, we really saw one! We saw Li Jia Xin, she is not as tall as i always imagined, quite petite actually.. She sat on the centre table as above pix at first but guess everyone was like looking at her and eventually they changed their seats to upstairs private room?!

Coffee Pai Ku
This is damn good!!! Never tried such good coffee ribs so far.. this is the best! Thumbs up!

Deep Fried Fish Skin
Nice! With lotsa fried garlic & chilli...This will goes super well with beer!

We ordered Prawn Paste Chicken which was good too... Chilli, Black Pepper & Salted Egg Crabs taste ok... still prefer Master Crab at Ghim Mo! Overall the food was good! Definately a must try especially the coffee pork ribs!

We went Hotel Re to chill out after that.. In such hot weather, the rooftop pub there was surprisingly windy! Cool...

Ordered a Mai Tai cocktail
There wasnt any crowd at all and seems that we are the only group there, and guess what, the tv is ours! Ask the waiter to change channel to our likings! Haha..

1st time to try Coffee Stars by Dao located at Wisma Atria.

The cafe is very elegantly decorated... looks expensive with the chandeliers and velvety looking seats...

Meet up biaojie and meitian as i've got a Less 40% Espirit Family & Friends discount voucher, to our despair, we didnt manage to get anything after a few rounds!!! Bought a top for mum for mother's day only...:S
Espirit stuffs is getting more & more expensive and designs are not appealing! Despite the 40% off, there's really nothing much to buy...

Decided to give Coffee Stars by Dao a try since its rather new there..

Coffee Stars is a thai cafe serving thai food as well as western dishes.. we go for thai! Sawadeeka!
What else but thai iced tea, my fave!!

Pomelo with Prawns Salad... Excellent! A must try!!!!

Fried Kway Teow with Curry, Prawns & Crabmeat.. Nice if u loves the curry powder aroma...

This is actually mee pok in chicken curry, this curry taste is special, like tom yum and curry mix..

Black pepper prawns with noodle... Nice too!
Biaojie also find the food was good and intend to go again any sooner! Price is quite reasonable, dont be frighten off by its look.. Must try!

First time dining there.. ambiance is classy, feels really like at Italy! Haha...

Lucky to get a seat inside..waited awhile for our turn...
